sarcasm hits home

another 6:57 a.m. day. i'm not sure why, but a great quote from the new willy wonka just flashed through my head when thinking of how early i've been going in to work lately: "hello starshine. the earth says, 'hello'." you'd have to hear johnny depp say it... much funnier.
.
there was also something i was thinking about at lunch which i was going to write down so i wouldn't forget. i didn't write it down. i forgot.
.
and that's about it. today was my friday though. i have a big disc golf weekend planned with matthew in the circleville-ish area. we're planning between 117 and 150+ holes of disc golf between 5:15 friday evening and whenever we get done sunday. i'm super pumped.
.
another big thing today was an email from miss grace with a bunch of 'christian comics.' the second one down pictures a little man with his head in his hands, the words 'anxieties', 'expenses', 'bills', 'debts', and 'worries' floating around his head amonst the $ signs. he's sitting at his desk with papers all around his calculator while two little birds sit on his window sill, peering in, discussing the scene. bird #1 asks, "what's eatin' him?" to which bird #2 replies "i guess god doesn't take care of him like he does us." sarcasm hits home. i need to realize god has my life under control...
.
favorite bible verse read today: "look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. are you not much more valuable than they? who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" (matthew 6:26-27) - despite writing four checks to various government tax collectors tonight, i need to remember to trust he is in control of everyting... even my check book. so what's to worry about?
.
a picture very much in the mood for some discing matthew forte style. this is how we roll baby:
