no fear

official word hit the streets that my team leader at work is leaving the bank. my entire day has been spent dwelling on and discussing what this could potentially mean for my own career. though i continue to dream and remain hopeful like any man would, i remain content in god's plan. i know that sounds cliche, but i'm not nervous about anything. i'm excited. i can't pray for rain and leave my umbrella at home...
.
i didn't get anything physically done at home tonight. sarah and i did discuss dimensions and placement of our vegetable garden to come, so that was productive. the girls were so tired that we had them in bed by 7 tonight, and i didn't hear a peep out of them after going downstairs. i'm guessing i'll see their smiling faces bright and early though. sarah left for an exciting aldi/marcs/giant eagle grocery trip while i stayed home and dwelt on my current work situation.

favorite bible verse read today: "he who vindicates me is near. who then will bring charges against me? let us face each other! who is my accuser? let him confront me! it is the sovereign lord who helps me. who is he that will condemn me?" (isaiah 50:8-9a) - this reminds me of a song we sing at church quite a bit which really hits me every time we sing it... just pumps me up: "and i will fear no evil. for my god is with me. and if my god is with me, whom then shall i fear? whom then shall i fear? oh no, you never let go. through the calm and through the storm. oh no, you never let go. lord, you never let go of me." check it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIAdgLR1ZGw
.
a nice disc golf picture taken by sarah this past saturday (note: dad handed me $20 today to buy a new disc to replace the one i lost this past weekend. after $35 yesterday for softball and $20 today for disc golf, i'm getting the thought that god wants me to relax right now):
