under the microscope

being a christian is quite inconvenient. you're expected to live a certain way and therefore live under a microscope. if you slip one time, no matter how bad you feel and how deeply you apologize, you're still labelled a hypocrite. and the ones labelling you are then able to use you as an excuse for their unbelief... way to go you.

think about this: in james, we read that "anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do, yet does not do it, sins." ouch! that means everytime i ignore that good idea, i'm sinning. or what about "anyone who claims to be in christ should walk as jesus did." ouch! i either (a) can't claim to be in christ, or (b) i've got a pretty stinkin high calling to attain.
