proverbial schedule

i haven't stuck with it liked i'd prefer, but i think the jews are on to something with resting on the 7th day of each week. something about keeping the sabbath holy. so i've been wanting and trying to train my body to work hard 6 days a week and do absolutely nothing on sundays. so my goal is 5am wake-up calls, read my bible, head to work by 6:30, work till 4:30-5:00, come home, work/play outside with the family, eat dinner, play/pay bills, 2nd job, blog/prepare for the next day, bed by 11... and disc golf on saturdays. (proverbs 20:13).
.
today was another low morale day for firstmeritians, which makes for a tough work environment. i can't say i'm the most chipper, but i'm letting god work on me in that area, and it hasn't really bothered me too bad the last couple of days.
.
i got to play outside and get a little yard work done with sarah and the girls when i got home. sonja was carrying pvc pipe across the driveway when she tripped and fell. she was okay... her face caught her... well, i think her tongue took the brunt of it. but there wasn't much blood, just a lot of crying, so she really was okay. we got to meet some people who live a few houses down (elizabeth and kevin and their dog cosmo). elizabeth grew up basically across the street from where we're at now, so we got to talk about the folks that lived here before us. they seem(ed) like great people. though we never knew them, we can tell they were great peole by how they've worked with us in selling the house. thank you duttons.
.
matthew called me three times while we were working. well, the third time was during dinner, but i figured i'd better answer it since he was being pretty persistent. he was pretty excited about the weather and disc golf and was talking a mile a minute and saying "god is awesome" and "praise god" a lot. then he said there was this guy selling unused discs for $5 a pop. god is awesome! matthew bought me one. though i can't figure out why he'd try to help my game when he's convinced he can't beat me, i'm thankful for a friend who is willing to do even small things like that for me (thanks again for the gas my man).
.
so i'm in proverbs now... great stuff. here are a few of my favorites from today's reading: 9:7-9; 10:18-19 (figure out how you find the middle ground between 18 and 19); 12:15, 23; 18:2; 19:21; and again 20:13. let me know after you've read these if you'd like to dialogue on any of them. i'd be curious to know how they hit you.
