i've been fighting a headache all day. it started when i woke up at 5:45 to get ready for work and continued through now, 11:30 at night. but i made it through the day!

i'm working on following king david's pattern... being a man after god's own heart. according to 1 kings 11:6b "big daddy d" followed the lord completely. completely?! what does that look like? i mean, aside from the whole foul-up with uriah's wife, dave was a pretty sweet guy. i've had my foul-ups too, but i can't say i resorted to murder in order to marry my beautiful woman. but i do a lot of other bad things, mostly manifested in negative attitudes towards others. i keep praying that god will guide me in his ways, that i too may live a life pleasing to him.

favorite bible verse read today: "so israel has been in rebellion against the house of david to this day." (1 kings 12:19) - i won't go into the context now, so you'll have to read it on your own for that piece. however, it's interesting to see that israel, or the jewish nation as i see it, is still in denial as to christ's divinity. and christ is of the house of david. interesting, eh?
